Mother’s Little Helpers trailer

Here’s our new trailer, as reported by Deadline today, watch it HERE.

via Deadline:

In Kestrin Pantera’s family dramedy Mother’s Little Helpersfour siblings are brought together when their former ’70s flower power mother learns she has weeks to live — but it’s not exactly a lovefest.

Based on true events, Mother’s Little Helpers is written and directed by Pantera and follows the estranged children of the dying mother as they try to do the right thing by a mother who always did them wrong. The dysfunction runs rampant as the comedic family drama unravels while the siblings say goodbye to their mom…who was never that much of a parent to begin with.

Pantera also stars alongside Breeda WoolMilana VayntrubMelanie HutsellSam Littlefield, David Giuntoli, and Cool Benson. Wool also serves as an executive producer with AnnaLiza Recto, Michael Kaleda, and Jonathan Grubb. Producers are Eva Kim and Tammy Sanchez.

Mother’s Little Helpers makes its world premiere at SXSW March 9. ICM Partners is representing the sale of the film. Watch the teaser trailer above.

SXSW: Female Gaze Panel, Monday March 11

Mother’s Little Helpers director, Kestrin, will be speaking on a panel Monday at SXSW about the Female Gaze:

https://schedule.sxsw.com/2019/events/PP103138

What happens when we look at the world from a female point of view? What can audiences gain by looking at film through a female lens? “The Female Gaze” will open up a conversation about seeing film and being seen in film for those who don’t identify with being white, cis, or male. Inspired by her book by the same name, the panel will be moderated by author and Fandango correspondent Alicia Malone. Joining Malone are three filmmakers who are ready to share their experiences and offer insight about navigating the intersection of art and identity.
